We don’t have enough wave race type games in the world. We definitely don’t have enough jet-ski waifu games, and this latest trailer has convinced me that this is a problem. Wave racing? With water guns, mini games, special moves, and character customization? This… this could be really good, maybe.
Coming to us courtesy of the same team responsible for Senran Kagura, Kandagawa Jet Girls looks like a light-hearted romp, honestly. Combat racing with just a dash, just a light sprinkling of fan service might be the breezy fun we need this fall. The game is launching on PC and PS4 on August 25th, 2020.
If you’re into physical editions, as well as the bonus goodies those contain, pre-orders are live for the Racing Hearts edition of the game. It comes with the base game, an art book, and a two-disc soundtrack. You can also check out the trailer embedded below, if you’re on the fence about jet-skis and the women who drive them. I’m holding out hope that this ends up being like, a racing game as well as a fan service vehicle. We’ll find out in just over a month!
