What Do the Numbers Mean Mason?Â
We are inching closer and closer to Fall 2020 and we have still not seen anything definitive for this year’s Call of Duty game. There have been a ton of rumors and whispers that Call of Duty 2020 will be taking place in the Cold War but other than that information has been sparse at best. Both Infinity Ward and Treyarch tend to release some sort of teaser trailer around this time of year. While many fans are convinced Treyarch is only days away from making it grand announcement to the world, others are certain we are still a long way out from seeing anything relating to the next COD game.
These supposed leaks come from none other than Tom Henderson. For those who are unaware, Henderson has been responsible for some of the more well-known and notorious leaks/predictions over the past few years. In other words, if it has anything to do with Call of Duty, Tom Henderson probably knows about it. However, despite the reputation of Henderson, this rumor should be treated like all the others.
According to Henderson, fans will not be given a trailer until August. Something that will certainly be a bit out of the ordinary for longtime Call of Duty players. Many, including Henderson, have attributed this late reveal to the release of the Xbox Series X and PS5 as well as trying to adapt this year’s COD into Warzone. Warzone has experienced an enormous amount of success since it first launched in March and it has been confirmed that it will be sticking around beyond the planned lifespan of Modern Warfare.
Infinity Ward has stated that Warzone will serve as a handy medium that will conjoin all of the future titles in the Call of Duty franchise. One can only imagine some of the issues that this could cause developers. Hopefully, we will get a glimpse of Call of Duty 2020 sooner than later.
