But the Damage Is Done
As you may well know, major spoilers were leaked for The Last of Us Part 2 last week. Hopefully, you don’t know too well. Don’t worry; by reading this, you won’t be exposed to any of the spoilers. Even I don’t know what they are. Thankfully, those who leaked the story details won’t be harming anyone anymore. According to GamesIndustry, Sony has identified The Last of Us Part 2 leakers. Sony has not said much more than that though, just that they know who they are.
I can just imagine Mr. Sony sitting in his office surrounded by armed guards, and saying something clever, yet ominous like, “Plug those leaks,” and then they’re never heard from again. There were rumors swirling around that the leakers were former Naughty Dog or Sony employees, but to our surprise, Sony has said that they are not affiliated with either company. That might mean that someone did a digital B&E and took the videos that spoiled the story details of the game.
Even though the initial leak was done by a few, it takes a lot of others to spread the footage the way it was done last week. Even yesterday during the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla reveal stream, the chat was being flooded by The Last of Us Part 2 spoilers. It was recently announced that The Last of Us Part 2’s release date has been moved from “delayed indefinitely” to June 19th. If you have remained spoiler free, you just have to hold on for another 6 or 7 weeks. Stay strong. The Last of Us Part 2 will launch exclusively on PS4 on June 19th.
