Xbox Series X May Have the Same Dashboard as the Xbox One

The More Things Change, the More They Stay the Same

The Xbox Series X is planning to release sometime later this year. There is no exact date, but most people are reasonably suspecting that we will see Microsoft’s latest console sometime in November or December. Just in time for Christmas. Of course, the coronavirus could force some sort of delay, but as things stand now, nothing has changed. The Xbox Series X has amazed many people within the gaming industry, even those who have been ardent critics of Microsft. The specs of the console were released a few weeks ago and they seem to be at par or even exceed what PlayStation has brought forward.  A big surprise to most. While the Xbox Series X is going to be introducing a lot of new things to Xbox fans, there could be a couple of features that are going to be very familiar to them. Namely the dashboard.

More information about the Xbox Series X interface has surfaced and it looks as though the next-gen console will be borrowing the dashboard that is used on the Xbox One. While the interface that we will see on the Xbox Series X is not going to be identical, it is going to be very similar. Something that fans might not be too pleased with. There is nothing wrong with the Xbox One dashboard, however, not offering anything new to fans is only going to come across as lazy.

Keep in mind that the interface could change drastically post-launch thanks to updates. This was the case for the Xbox 360 dashboard. The difference in appearance from 2005 to 2013 was astounding and seemed to really impress its users.

Let us know what you think. Would you be ok if the Xbox Series X doesn’t change its dashboard?
