Grab It For Zero Dollars On Steam
Sega is handing out Total War: Shogun II for free next week! If you’re looking for more incentive to stay home and stay alive, the colossal strategy game will be free to keep on Steam! Once you download it, she’s all yours, so to speak.
If you, like me, are unfamiliar with Total War and its many installments, here’s a super-quick primer. You command a massive army, engage in complex real-time battles, and conquer a whole nation. This particular entry features samurai on foot, on horseback, and in fleets of ships. Also, a lot of people consider this the best entry in the whole series. Even though it came out way back in 2011!
On top of the game being totally free, there will be sales happening on various other Total War titles and DLC packages. In other words, once they hook you in with Shogun II, they’ll have you diving head-first into the whole dang franchise. It’s a clever move, honestly.
