S(t)ea(m) of Thieves
Just over two years ago, Sea of Thieves came out on Xbox One and Windows 10, but not on Steam, as many players would have liked. Earlier today, news broke that it would soon be making its way to Steam, as it now has a page on the site. When it launches, players will be able to benefit from its crossplay capabilities with Xbox One and Windows 10 players, which will definitely be welcome since there will be a lot of content to dive into, and you will want your friends with you.
The Steam version will include all the content updates that Sea of Thieves has received since first launching. The different forts, as well as battling the Megalodon and the Kraken, will be ready for you right off the bat, though you may not want to do those first, especially if this will be the first time you play the game. Surely, more information about its release will be coming soon, but as of right now, there is no mention of release date or price for the Steam launch.
Perhaps Sea of Thieves’ inclusion on Steam will be part of a bigger trend of Microsoft first party games becoming available on the platform. Earlier examples include Gears 5 and Halo: The Masterchief Collection. Sea of Thieves is available now on PC and Xbox One.
