These New The Last of Us Part 2 Images Show Off Some Impressive Graphics
After Sony and Naughty Dog announced the indefinite delay of The Last of Us Part 2 on Thursday, several new in-game images leaked online. It is unclear where these images originated from but they appear to be official.
The new screenshots show Joel & Ellie, segments from the game’s Seattle level, and more.
The latest Naughty Dog game takes place five years after the first The Last of Us and begins with Ellie and Joel living peacefully in Jackson, a Wyoming town lead by Joel’s brother, Tommy. However, after a horrific event happens to Ellie, she sets out on a revenge quest and travels to a dilapidated Seattle, Washington that’s the site of a conflict between two factions: the Seraphites cult and the authoritarian Washington Liberation Front (WLF).
And, so far, that’s all that has been officially revealed about The Last of Us Part 2’s story premise. As expected, Naughty Dog has been pretty tight-lipped about the game’s narrative but its creative director, Neil Druckmann, has described The Last of Us sequel as the “most ambitious” game Naughty Dog has ever made.
