Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Gameplay Trailer is Coming Next Week

You Almost Forgot About the Gameplay

If you are reading this there is a great chance that you have already seen the fancy new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. While the trailer was very well done and gives us a great idea of what to expect moving forward, there was still an unfortunate lack of gameplay. However, this dilemma is going to be but to bed next week at Xbox’s showcase event.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Trailer

Next week on May 7th, Xbox is going to be holding a conference that is going to show off a ton of new games, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla included. According to Ubisoft, this is where we are going to get our first glimpse of Valhalla gameplay. Trailers are great and all, but seeing the actual gameplay is something entirely different.

New mechanics that pertains to raids and skirmishes have been briefly mentioned by Ubisoft. However, the biggest question on most fans’ minds has to be what the new world is going to look like. Taking place in 9th-century England and Norway, at first glance it appears that Valhalla is going to be the largest AC game to date. Ubisoft has said that the player will have the freedom to travel to and from England and Norway whenever they please.

It is clear that Ubisoft is really trying to switch up the predictable Assassin’s Creed formula that we have all gotten used to over the past decade or so. Tackling the Viking Age is going to be tough. There are so many things that could go wrong, but just as many things that could go right. Regardless of what happens, Ubisoft should be applauded for stepping out of their comfort zone. Especially after being endlessly ridiculed for pumping out bland and uninspiring titles.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set to release in late 2020.
