Tomb Raider’s 2013 Reboot Is 100% Off for a Limited Time
Crystal Dynamics’ 2013 Tomb Raider reboot and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris are both currently free on Steam until Monday at 11:59 PM PDT/2:59 AM EDT (which is on Tuesday). The sale is part of a “stay home and play” campaign started by Square Enix in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Gamers are part of a global community,” a Square Enix blog post read. “We regularly rally together online to return balance to fantasy kingdoms, recruit crew to save the universe from sci-fi threats, and indulge in healthy competition through high-octane action games. For others, shifting to both online work and play is unfamiliar territory.”
“With this in mind, we’re offering a gift to our community. Starting right now through Monday, March 23 at 11:59PM PDT, we’re releasing both Tomb Raider (2013) and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris for free on Steam,” the blog post continued.
In order to get both free games you’ll need a Square Enix Members Account (which can be made for free), head to the “My Orders” section of the Purchase History page after getting the games through the Square Enix Store, unlock the activation keys, and then finally activate & install the games through Steam.
The next two reboot games, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, are also on sale on Steam. If you’re thinking of getting all three then we’ve got reviews for the first, second, and third game in the reboot trilogy.
