Holy Long Name for Japanese Mech Fighter!
You know the only thing cooler than a human fighting in space with lasers, laser-swords, and laser-shields? The answer is, a giant robot in the shape of a human fighting in space with lasers, laser-swords, and laser-shields; the basic premise of the Gundam series. There are more Gundam video games than we can count, but the latest one seems to be coming to a close in terms of content. The last SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays DLC is out now, and if giant robots in the shape of a human fighting in space with lasers, laser-swords, and laser-shields is your thing, now might be the time to get into it.
There are so many Gundam games that they are divided up by series. This entry is in the SD Gundam G Generation series, and first of its series to be available in the West. When it came out in November 2019, SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays had over 400 mobile suits and many pilots from the most popular TV series’ Gundam Wing, SEED, 00, and Iron-Blooded Orphans. Since then, four DLC packs have been released, each with new missions, mobile suits, and characters from some of the lesser known series.

The reason Western fans should take advantage now is that the game is 25% off on Steam, which is the only way for English speaking audiences to play it. The Deluxe version is also 25% off, which includes the season pass, so all the content can be yours for a reduced price. Buying the DLC separately would be priced normally. SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays is available now on PC, and on PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan.
