Metal Gear’s Raiden Now Playable In Devil May Cry 5

Two Versions Included

If you’re a fan of the worlds of Metal Gear Solid and Devil May Cry, you’ve come to the right place. A brilliant member of the modding community has just released his latest work, and it’s a mashup between the beloved franchises, featuring Raiden. Have you ever wanted to slay some demons as everybody’s (second) favorite ninja from Metal Gear? Now’s your chance.

A user by the name of EXshinla over at Nexusmods has just uploaded the files you’ll need to get started, and things couldn’t be easier. The description reads to simply load the file with ‘modmanager,’ and enjoy. It’s also worth noting that in the description, EXshinla makes a comment regarding the use of Physically-Based Rendering. PBR refers to the concept of using realistic shading/lighting models, along with measured surface values to accurately represent real-world materials.

There isn’t a video at the moment to go along with the images that were uploaded, however, based on everything we’ve seen so far, this is a beautiful mod. Raiden looks as good as he does in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and don’t forget that there are two different suits Raiden is capable of wearing – You can don both the regular colors as well as Raiden’s EX color armor.

This isn’t the first time fans have brought the two franchises together, as a similar mod was made available for Devil May Cry 4 back in 2018. Youtuber donguri990 uploaded footage of his Raiden mod in action, much to the delight of fans.

What are your thoughts on being able to play as Raiden in Devil May Cry? Is this something you’ve been dreaming of, to the point of losing sleep? Sound off in the comments section below and let us know. Also, be sure to check out our latest cosplay feature, as we turned our attention this week to the stunningly sexy Khainsaw.
