Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Gets Rated in South Korea

Return of Marathon, Lightweight, and Commando

The saga of Modern Warfare 2 Remastered continues. Pretty much since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered came out, there have been demand and rumors of a remaster of its follow-up. There has been a listing on Amazon and earlier this month, it appears that it has been rated in Europe. Now, a similar rating has been made by the South Korean rating board. It seems that Activision Blizzard is gearing up for a second release of this game, but so far this is all the information that has been given.

Modern Warfare 2 Remastered

In both cases of Modern Warfare 2’s rating, it is called “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered”, but if you think that they are only releasing the campaign, do not be fooled. Many game trailers often start by saying something along the lines of “online interactions not rated”, likely because a campaign or single player experience can be predictable in terms of what the player will do. Online interactions may have goals and rules, but gamers are unpredictable, so online play is not rated. Rest assured, if/when this game comes out again, you can jump online and put together that Marathon Pro, Lightweight Pro, and Commando Pro loadout and run around knifing everyone.

Activision Blizzard has not said anything official about a remastered Modern Warfare 2, but in this day and age, it is pretty much inevitable. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
