Ducktales Remastered Back In Digital Stores

Capcom Made Some Deals Perhaps

After many months spent in purgatory, Ducktales: Remastered is now back in digital Stores! This news comes as the first development since the game was removed from digital shelves back in 2019. If you were lamenting the game’s disappearance, now is the time to remedy your most grievous error.

To be both fair and specific, the only modern platforms you can get the game on are Steam and the Xbox One. Even that second one is only possible since the game was actually released for the 360. It’s quite possible that the reason the game vanished in the first place is because some licences expired. It came out way back in 2013, after all.

Capcom made the announcement via Twitter, letting everyone know that a fresh, hot deal has been inked with Disney. If you missed out on this game altogether, Ducktales: Remastered is a slicker version of the original Ducktales NES game cooked up back by Capcom way back in 1989. You control Scrooge McDuck and his all-powerful pogo-stick cane, searching the world for enormous diamonds and other legendary treasures. The graphics aim to perfectly recreate that hand-drawn cartoon feel, while still capturing that 8-bit action flavor so many of us fondly remember. If this is your first time playing the game, your best bet is do so on Steam, or through the Xbox One backwards compatibility program.
