Doom Receives Massive Price Drop on PC

Now is the Time to Play the Classics

Doom Eternal is dropping later this month. If you are jittering with excitement then it might be a good idea to wind down by playing some of the older Doom titles. The entire franchise has received a massive discount thanks to Green Man Gaming. The exact prices are going to vary depending on the title, but a deal is a deal. Some games in the franchise are going to be as low as 70% off. You can find the original game for less than 4 dollars (USD). It is a good deal no matter how to look at it.

Doom Eternal

Doom has a special place amongst the gaming community. It is largely credited with pioneering the FPS genre and is undoubtedly one of the “founding fathers” of modern first-person shooters. The original Doom launched in the early 90s and since then has been recognized as a trailblazing title.

Despite the huge role it played in the early video game industry and the FPS genre, the franchise stumbled and struggled to find the same success in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Most people had forgotten the series or just remembered it for its smash hits that were released decades ago. However, as we all know, the Doom franchise was bought by Bethesda and they were able to make an enormous comeback in 2016. It is very rare that a game is revived and really wows audiences. Many were nervous that it would go the way of Duke Nukem, but thankfully those people were all wrong. A new generation of fans has been created that are chomping at the bit to get their hands on Eternal.

Doom Eternal launches on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 20th, 2020.
