Call of Duty Warzone Now Has a Release Date and Launch Trailer

Available on March 10th For Absolutely Free

Call of Duty Warzone leaked in late February but now it’s official. Players can expect to see the new Call of Duty extension become available tomorrow on March 10th. The new trailer also tells us a lot of things that we did not know beforehand. Warzone looks like it is going to try and standout amongst the competition by using a couple of very interesting tactics. The most notable of these is that Warzone will be totally free to anyone who wants it. Call of Duty Warzone is going to be a standalone game that will not need Modern Warfare to play. Anyone on any platform can download Warzone without spending a dime.

Call of Duty Warzone

Call of Duty Warzone is going to push the player limit of the competition and have 150 people in each match. Expect to have a much more hectic time playing Warzone than other battle royale games. The higher player count is going to significantly increase your chances of running into someone, especially in the early game. Towns and cities are going to be deadlier than ever.

The map itself is reported to be fairly large as well. There were concerns that Infinity Ward was going to purposefully add a small map to keep the action chaotic and frequent, but it looks like they met somewhere in the middle.

Call of Duty Warzone is going to have two separate game modes too. The first being the timeless battle royale mode that is just a fight to the death sort of scenario. However, there is a second game type called “Plunder” which seems more interesting. This mode will revolve around collecting money around the map. It is not clear how players are supposed to win, but it will be much different from what we are used to.
