Call of Duty Players Are Outraged After XP Glitch Freezes Progression

Infinity Ward is on the Case

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has had a rough go of things lately. The triple-a shooter has been plagued with a series of bugs and other technical issues for most of 2020 and late 2019. The game is by no means broken or unplayable, but the polish that was present at launch has started to wear off due to a long list of updates that were injected into the title in December. The most recent of these problems is that players are now reporting that their experience points earned in games are not being counted.

Infinity Ward is aware of the issue and is working on a solution as we speak. This is obviously not a good look for the company. No one wants to play games only for it not to mean anything afterward. Progression is huge in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It is how players level up overall as well as their weapons. Infinity Ward is going to have to act fast if they don’t want to lose any players.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was hailed as a game that would return the franchise to its glory days. In terms of gameplay it has, the controls and weapons feel better than ever. But that has not meant the game is free of bugs and other shortcomings. Hopefully, Infinity Ward is able to sort this problem out sooner rather than later. Some of the previous problems in Modern Warfare persisted for months after they were first discovered by fans.

While this is getting resolved COD fans will have Warzone to take their minds off things. Call of Duty’s attempt at a stand-alone battle royale game launches tomorrow and will be totally free to anyone who wants in.
