The Correct Answer Is All Of Their Games, Please
The annual Atlus survey has been released in Japan. Aside from the usual questions about franchises and their future directions, Atlus included an important question about ports. In particular, which of their games should get ported to the Nintendo Switch? Aside from all of them, of course.
Now, this is inquiring about a straight port, with no enhancements or additional content. Games on the checklist included Persona 1 through 5, Persona Q, the Etrian Odyssey series, Catherine, Devil Summoner, and Dragon’s Crown Pro. More or less any of these titles would make fantastic Switch games. Even the Etrian Odyssey series, which is built for two screens, could be ported without too much trouble.
These customer surveys don’t always mean the company in question acts on the gathered data, but we’ve gotten ports and localizations before in this fashion. Sega has acted on survey data in the past, after all. With that in mind, what’s your first choice for an Atlus Switch port? My vote is for any and all entries in the Shin Megami Tensei series. The Devil Summoner games, Nocturne, Digital Devil Survivor, or even Shin Megami Tensei IV would be great picks. Especially since SMT V is coming to the Nintendo Switch sometime in the near future. Let’s hope Atlus gives the people what they want.
