Untitled Goose Game LEGO Could Become a Reality

Fan Creates Homage with Untitled Goose Game LEGO Idea

The horrible goose could take on physical form sometime in the future if this fan-made prototype for an Untitled Goose Game Lego set continues to gain traction online. The design was submitted through LEGO Ideas, a site where LEGO fans can submit their original designs.  A LEGO Ideas user with the name “A Fellow Player” submitted the design which depicts the goose in the garden, the first area that players encounter in the game.

The resemblance to the game’s environment is uncanny, and the LEGO set even provides a sneak peak into what’s inside the gardener’s shed.

Currently, the design has over 1,300 supporters and is a staff pick, meaning it has drawn the attention of a LEGO employee. Being a staff pick does not put projects on a fast track though, it simply gives them more exposure.

In order for the Untitled Goose Game LEGO to become an actual LEGO product it must first gain 10,000 followers in a set period of time. The project has 592 days left to accrue supporters, and it will get extension on that deadline if it continues to gain support. Once the design has enough supporters, LEGO will officially review the product and either give it the green light or cancel it. LEGO has the right to refuse supported projects on several grounds, including if the design requires too many custom pieces or if it’s based on an existing IP. That said, LEGO only seems to enforce the IP clause when the designs are based on franchises they already work with, such as Star Wars and Overwatch.

COGconnected reviewed Untitled Goose Game when it came out last year and found the game to be a charming and fun to both watch and play. We’ll see if the same can be said of the Untitled Goose Game LEGO if it makes the leap to store shelves.
