Mortal Kombat 11 Teases Arrival of The Joker on Twitter

At First, I Thought My Life Was a Tragedy, But Now I Realize It’s a Comedy

The Mortal Kombat Twitter account has been working in overdrive teasing and taunting fans. They have released a ton of different Tweet all pointing at the highly anticipated addition of The Joker into the Mortal Kombat universe. However, today they at least gave us all a short little trailer to fawn over for the time being. There is still no clear release date for The Joker DLC, but we can all assume that it is around the corner thanks to this new trailer.

Mortal Kombat 11 has added a ton of new DLC characters to the game since its launch. But there is no character that is more coveted than The Joker himself. The evil clown is one of the most recognizable villains in the world and has amassed millions of fans across the world. It is a pretty big deal to have him attached to any form of entertainment, let alone a video game. The Joker has also been pushed forward in the public zeitgeist thanks to the most recent Joker film that was loved by fans. The media had mixed reviews but it in no way affected the sales or prase that the movie received.

It is very unlikely that Mortal Kombat 11 is going to use Joaquin Phoenix’s interpretation of the character in their game. If the trailer is anything to go off of, well will probably see something along the lines of Jack Nicholson or the Joker that was seen in Arkham Asylum. Hopefully, the team over at MK11 is able to do the character justice. Superheroes are a big deal to a lot of gamers and messing up a character like this would be sacrilegious within the video game community.
