Fortnite Boogiedown is Back As “Emote Royale”
TikTok and Epic Games have teamed up to bring Emote Royale, another dance contest, to Fortnite players. Epic Games held a similar event previously, entitled “Boogiedown,” that had players upload clips of themselves dancing to social media with the hashtag “boogiedown.”
This time around, players must upload TikTok videos of themselves dancing, along with the hashtag #EmoteRoyalecontest to enter the contests. Submitted dances must be original. One lucky winner will have their dance made into an in-game emote along with 25,000 V Bucks and Fortnite prize pack. The total value of the items in the prize pack are valued at over $400 USD.
The contest began on Jan 18, and runs until Jan 24. Players must be 13 years of age or older to participate. All submitted videos must use a pre-selected Fortnite track which can be downloaded here. The entire set of contest rules can be found here.
