Oculus Quest Backorders Are Now Extended Into February
People have been clamoring to get their hands on some sort of VR system over the Christmas season. The most popular VR set up, the Oculus has been flying off the shelves thanks to large VR titles like Half-Life: Alyx and Boneworks. It has gotten so ridiculous that backorders for the Oculus Quest have extended into February 2020.
Thanks to the relatively low price of the Oculus, people have been able to pick up a VR headset and system without having to take out a second mortgage on their home. They are somewhat simple to use and set up as well. It is obviously a little bit different than playing on a console or PC. But once the small hiccups are out of the way, it is quite easy to get ahold of.
Most retailers have totally sold out of all Oculus Quests due to the high demand. Amazon does have some left but they will not last very long. If you are still looking to get your hands on one. Amazon is your best bet. But nothing is guaranteed. It is simply first come first serve.
As VR technology continues to improve we should expect to see a much higher demand in systems like the Oculus. While there are still plenty of different VR sets on the market. The Oculus is surely the most well known and popular. This recognition could be easily attributed to the fact that they are owned by Facebook. Marketing isn’t exactly a problem for them.
The new VR title from Valve, Half-Life: Alyx has really sparked a major interest in VR. The trailer has been viewed millions of times and has had great reception. Virtual reality is most certainly the future of video games.
