Frictional Games Launched a Webpage for a Mysterious New Game
Amnesia developer Frictional Games hinted at a new game being in the development in the form of a recently discovered official webpage titled, โNext Frictional Gameโ. The webpage just has a small gray orb against a gray background. No info (such as a release date or platforms) is listed on the webpage but, given the studioโs history of making horror games, itโs likely that this will be another horror game.
Itโs been nearly a decade since Frictional Games released the 2010 first-person horror hit Amnesia: The Dark Descent. The studio then published the gameโs 2013 sequel, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, which wasnโt as well-received as its predecessor.
In 2015, Frictional released another successful first-person horror game, Soma. Since then, the studio hasnโt released any new games but creative director Thomas Grip did tell Gameranx in 2017 that the studioโs next two games will be a โproperโ horror game and a game that will โhave more focus on narrative and mystery.โ
