Frictional Games Launched a Webpage for a Mysterious New Game
Amnesia developer Frictional Games hinted at a new game being in the development in the form of a recently discovered official webpage titled, “Next Frictional Game”. The webpage just has a small gray orb against a gray background. No info (such as a release date or platforms) is listed on the webpage but, given the studio’s history of making horror games, it’s likely that this will be another horror game.
It’s been nearly a decade since Frictional Games released the 2010 first-person horror hit Amnesia: The Dark Descent. The studio then published the game’s 2013 sequel, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, which wasn’t as well-received as its predecessor.
In 2015, Frictional released another successful first-person horror game, Soma. Since then, the studio hasn’t released any new games but creative director Thomas Grip did tell Gameranx in 2017 that the studio’s next two games will be a “proper” horror game and a game that will “have more focus on narrative and mystery.”
