Amnesia Devs Drop a Mysterious Hint for a New Game

Frictional Games Launched a Webpage for a Mysterious New Game

Amnesia developer Frictional Games hinted at a new game being in the development in the form of a recently discovered official webpage titled, โ€œNext Frictional Gameโ€. The webpage just has a small gray orb against a gray background. No info (such as a release date or platforms) is listed on the webpage but, given the studioโ€™s history of making horror games, itโ€™s likely that this will be another horror game.

Frictional Games

Itโ€™s been nearly a decade since Frictional Games released the 2010 first-person horror hit Amnesia: The Dark Descent. The studio then published the gameโ€™s 2013 sequel, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, which wasnโ€™t as well-received as its predecessor.

In 2015, Frictional released another successful first-person horror game, Soma. Since then, the studio hasnโ€™t released any new games but creative director Thomas Grip did tell Gameranx in 2017 that the studioโ€™s next two games will be a โ€œproperโ€ horror game and a game that will โ€œhave more focus on narrative and mystery.โ€
