Vermintide 2 is a game that is set in the Warhammer fantasy universe where you and three of your buddies are tasked with fighting endless waves of rat people called Skaven. There are of course objectives and a storyline. But it’s mostly about killing rat-men, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Vermintide 2 is going to be free to anyone who wants to give it a go this weekend. The base game is only going to be available for free. But you only need one player to have the DLC for everyone else to enjoy it too. That way you can freeload off your friends.
Vermintide 2 is a surprisingly deep and complex game. There are a healthy amount of interesting characters who all have access to a different set of skills and weapons. These abilities and items can then be upgraded further as you level up. It does a very good job of creating an incentive to play. Something that most games of this genre fail to do.
If you are a fan of the Warhammer world or have ever been curious, then make sure to capitalize on this chance while you can.
