Shortages of Ring Fit Adventure in Japan Has Nintendo Apologizing

Sorry for Being Too Successful

The Nintendo Switch’s shot at fitness Ring Fit Adventure is having a pretty good run. Get it? GET IT?! As far as fitness games go, it is a pretty good balance between working out and playing a video game. Your ol’ pal Zane got to demo it and thoroughly enjoyed it. It has received pretty good reviews as well. What I’m getting at is people like it. Apparently in Japan, people really like it. So much so that there are shortages of the game and its hardware.

Ring Fit Adventure

Japan is actually a pretty active nation in terms of fitness. Low impact activities, like children walking to school everyday, are found throughout the average Japanese citizen’s daily routine. Ring Fit Adventure’s shortage in Japan has actually prompted an apology from Nintendo.

The translated apology reads: Thank you for your patronage of our products. The Nintendo Switch software “Ringfit Adventure” released on October 18, 2019 continues to be in short supply throughout the domestic market. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to customers and dealers who are waiting. We continue to ship every week, and we will increase the number of shipments toward the end of the year so that as many people as possible can deliver. Some retailers may be able to make reservations, etc., so please check with your retailer regarding sales methods. We will continue to make efforts to deliver as many customers as possible, so we appreciate your understanding.

Ring Fit Adventure is out now exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
