A New Sonic Movie Trailer Shows a New Design for the Speedy Blue Hedgehog
A new trailer for the upcoming live-action Sonic movie dropped on Tuesday and it revealed a redesigned Sonic. The previous design was so heavily criticized for looking terrible that the movie’s director, Jeff Fowler, promised that the look of the famous blue hedgehog was going to be changed.
The Sonic The Hedgehog movie is expected to hit theaters on February 14th, 2020.
The trailer’s description gave details on the videogame movie’s story: “Based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega, Sonic The Hedgehog tells the story of the world’s speediest hedgehog as he embraces his new home on Earth. In this live-action adventure comedy, Sonic and his new best friend Tom (James Marsden) team up to defend the planet from the evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and his plans for world domination. The family-friendly film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.”
