Kojima Has Movies on the Mind
Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima said in a recent BBC documentary about his latest game that he plans to have his game studio, Kojima Productions, create films in the future.
“In the future, Kojima Productions will also start making films,” he said in the documentary. “If a person can do one thing well, then they should be able to do anything well.”
Kojima didn’t provide details about what these films would be about or even when his studio will actually start making them. Additionally, he thinks that since gaming seems to be heading towards a streaming-focused future, games will eventually have to compete with movies and TV.
“I’m very interested in the new format of game that will appear on there and that’s what I want to take on,” he said.
When it comes to his future games, his next game is reportedly already being planned.
