Bold Prediction From the Fans
Grand Theft Auto fans are convinced that Rockstar is going to unveil GTA VI at a PlayStation event that is scheduled to take place in December. According to fans Bully 2 and a new GTA have been just around the corner all year, but that of course never came to fruition.
The annual PlayStation Awards will be held on December 3rd in Japan. It is here that people think the big news is going to drop. These events are somewhat of a self-congratulatory ceremony were Sony commends itself for doing so well. Not exactly a place where you’d expect a game to be announced. Especially one as big as GTA VI.
There have been a lot of leaks and rumors about GTA VI this year. It is a safe assumption that the game is well into development. But that does not mean that we will be seeing anything concrete anytime soon. Lots of blood, sweat, and tears go into games nowadays and it would be very unlikely that Rockstar will have anything ready for a long time. Remember that Red Dead Redemption 2 was released only a year ago.
Rockstar is not like most developers. They tend to stray away from large gaming events and conferences altogether. When they do announce games is it usually on their own time. Both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 were announced when Rockstar felt like it. They did not wait for PAX or E3.
As much as fans are hoping that GTA VI is around the corner, it is probably just wishful thinking at best. Chances are we are going to be waiting years until we hear anything significant. Hopefully, I am wrong.
GTA V is out on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
