Does Anyone Know What’s Happening?Â
The official launch trailer for the highly anticipated Death Stranding has just been released today. The trailer is just about everything you should or would expect. It is weird, dark, confusing and much more. While Hideo Kojima, the man behind this game is well known for being very secretive, this trailer does give us a lot more information than what was previously available.
From what we know from this trailer, it will be the player’s job to rebuild America. However, this America is one that has fallen victim to a ton of horrible circumstances. What these exact issues are is unclear. But it isn’t good. It will be your job to “Go West” in order to find these terminals which can help restore the nation back to what it used to be. But aside from that, it was total confusion.
Hideo Kojima has done a masterful job at creating very interesting and captivating trailers while at the same time not spoiling anything at all. If anything, it has just made fans even more confused. It is safe to say that 99% of fans’ theories about this game are going to end up being totally wrong.
The trailer also gives us a great look at the extensive cast that is featured in the game. Obvious names like Norman Reedus was known to be a part of the game for years. However, it is seeing people like Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro in a video game that makes things even crazier than before.
The motion capture on the face of the different characters is nothing short of amazing. It really is like playing a movie when that sort of detail is present.
Death Stranding is set to drop on November 8th. Plan accordingly.
