I don’t know about you, but I’ve been waiting for Ms. Marvel to make an appearance in the MCU. Well, we don’t have that just yet, but I think we got the next best thing. Ms. Marvel AKA Kamala Khan was teased in the first trailers for Marvel’s Avengers and we could hear a female narrator as well, but she was not confirmed to be in the game until today. It turns out, Ms. Marvel is also the catalyst that set off the chain of events that bring the Avengers back after A-Day.
Earlier today, the Twitter account for Marvel’s Avengers tweeted out a trailer which heavily features Ms. Marvel. For those of you who haven’t steeped themselves in Marvel lore, the Terrigen Crystal that detonated on A-Day has the power to transform a select few humans into Inhumans. Kamala Khan is one of those people who was given powers by the Terrigen Bomb that supposedly kills Captain America. Kamala’s powers are kind of like a combination of Mr. Fantastic and Ant Man. She can grow and shrink herself or different appendages, which results in some really freaky things like swinging a giant fist or walking on 10 foot long legs or a humongous Ms. Marvel.
The trailer itself was released at New York Comic Con, but you can check it out here. Marvel’s Avengers will reassemble on May 15th, 2020 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia.
