Massive Fallout 76 Wastelanders Update Has Been Delayed Until Next Year

Fallout Fans Are Going to Have to Wait a While Longer

When Fallout 76 initially launched, it did not go well. The game was filled to the brim with bugs and glitches while being simultaneously empty of content and meaningful interaction. Fans were absolutely outraged and critics were not kind to the game either. The Fallout series was definitely at its low point. However, a year since its launch and things, while not perfect, have started to look up. Fallout 76 has been relentlessly updated and it has morphed into something that is at least close to what was advertised. However, the most anticipated update titled Wastelanders is going to be delayed until 2020.

Fallout 76 Nuclear Winter

The Wastelanders update is going to add some much need substance to Fallout 76. Things like NPC’s, story quests, branching dialogue was all expect to be out sometime this Fall at the latest. Now that it’s being delayed we can expect even more outrage from an already exhausted and jaded Fallout community. There is no concrete date for when the Wastelanders update is coming. Bethesda has only said that it will be released in early 2020. Which is, of course, vague but it is better than nothing.

The good news is that private servers are going to be live within a couple of days. This is going to allow players much more freedom to do what they like and hopefully help with the connectivity issues the game has been plagued with since its launch in 2018.

There are still going to be a handful of minor updates for 2019 however, well all know everyone has their eyes on the Wastelander update. Afterall, it the one that is supposed to save Fallout 76 altogether. It would be since to see such a beloved franchise return to former glory. Hopefully, that happens next year.
