Everybody Say “Scream”!
Gearbox has added Photo Mode to Borderlands 3 across all platforms. What better way to celebrate than with a contest? It’s also a great way to motivate people to use it. Gearbox and 2K are getting together to see what players can come up with. They aren’t looking for beautiful scenery or a glimpse of nature. What else could capture Borderlands 3 better than “Mayhem”? That’s what they are looking for in the Borderlands 3 Photo Mode contest. The images will be judged by a 5-person panel from 2K and Gearbox, then they will choose the winners.
The prize isn’t just a thumbs-up or a pat on the back; the winners will be getting some sweet loot and a (probably) once in a lifetime chance to visit the Gearbox HQ in Texas. There will be a total of 10 winners. 6 “Swag Pack” winners will be chosen and receive a Borderlands 3 t-shirt and a Borderlands 3 poster bundle signed by the Gearbox dev team. 3 “Elite Swag Pack” winners will get the above rewards, plus the Borderlands 3 Collector’s Edition and a “Gun with Legs Model”. The last Grand Prize winner will get everything above, as well as a trip for you and a guest to Gearbox HQ to meet the dev team.
Sounds pretty sweet. To access Photo Mode, press the pause button in-game where you can reposition the camera and apply different filters, as well as change the time of day, which would affect the lighting. There is also a button to toggle on and off the UI, which you should probably do. The contest is available to US and Canadian residents, but not Quebec. Ésolé pour le dérangement. Lastly, upload the image onto Twitter or Instagram with the hashtags #Borderlands3 and #Contest, then you win. Simple as that. The contest starts today and ends on November 11th. Borderlands 3 is out now for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
