Call of Duty Modern Warfare Has Lost Pre-Orders Due to Outraged Fans

PC and Xbox One Players Are Not Happy

It is safe to say that many fans are hyped about Call of Duty Modern Warfare. It has been years since a Call of Duty game has been able to capture the attention of so many people. However, nothing is perfect. Tons of PC and Xbox One players have canceled their pre-orders in protest due to the highly anticipated Spec Ops mode that PS4 players will have exclusive access to at launch.

Spec Ops Survival Mode is going to be only available on the PS4 version of the game on October 25th. But this does not mean that Xbox and PC Call of Duty fans will never get to play it. As frustrating as this must be to Call of Duty fans on other platforms, they will have to patiently wait an entire year to play. This is especially bad because of Call of Duty’s notoriously fast and demanding release schedule. There is a good chance that by the time Spec Ops Survival Mode is open to PC and Xbox players, another Call of Duty game will already be out.

Spec Ops Survival is going to be similar to Horde mode in Gears of War or Firefight in Halo. You and a couple of your buddies are going to be tasked with stopping never-ending waves of enemies. Strategic placement of squadmates, along with setting up traps and other tricks is going to be key.

It goes without saying that cross-play is not going to be available for this game mode. If you cannot wait until October 21st, 2020 you’ll have to buy a PS4.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare comes out on October 25th, 2019 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
