Total War: Warhammer II is Getting New DLC September 11th

Man VS Lizard

Total War: Warhammer II is going to be getting some new DLC content on September 11th. A brand new trailer has just dropped as well. It looks as though the DLC is going to take place in the LIzardmen home region. The new campaign is going to focus on the Lizardmen themselves as well as a band of Empire soldiers who are lurking around the jungle looking for treasure.

There are going to be two new heroes added to the game. Markus Wulfhart for the Empire and Nakai the Wanderer for the Lizardmen. Stange names, but what did you expect?

According to a FAQ that Total War has on their website, both of these characters will be playable in both the Eye of the Vortex and Mortal Empires Campaign. But it should be noted that these two new characters will not be fighting for control of the Vortex itself. They will have different goals and aspirations throughout the campaign.

New units will also be available for both factions featured in this DLC. “Empire: Archers, Huntsmen, and War Wagons. Dread Saurians, Sacred Kroxigors and Razordon Hunting packs for the Lizardmen.,” according to the website.

The last major DLC for Total War: Warhammer II was a bit of a goofy and light-hearted spin-off compared to the other campaigns. However, this time around it seems as though there will be a bit more of a serious tone behind it. But who knows.

The decision by Total War to branch off into the Warhammer universe has been a resounding success so far. Many people were worried that a franchise that was so used to creating historically accurate titles would struggle to transition into fantasy. But thankfully they have all been wrong.

Total War: Warhammer II is available on Steam for PC.
