Rainbow Six Siege is Going to Free for a Week Starting Tomorrow

Siege Will be on Sale as Well

Rainbow Six Siege is going to be free from August 28th until September 9th. This will give you a good amount of time and see what all the buzz is about. The good news is that if you do end up buying the game, the progress that you make whilst playing over the duration of the week will then be carried over. So your time playing will not be meaningless.

Rainbow Six Siege is going through a bit of a Renaissance period at the moment. The game has been out for four years now and has picked up in popularity. The game started out filled with bugs and somewhat unbalanced gameplay. But due to updates and other additions to the game it has become one of the biggest online shooters out there. A huge competitive scene has been established with pro tournaments being commonplace.

Changes are still being made to the game as well. A battle pass similar to Fornite is going to be added to the game. This has been done in hopes of further incentivizing fans of the game to keep on playing. However, this new battle pass system has caused concerns within the community.

Some long-time players have voiced their concerns that a battle pass that only rewards players for getting kills will change the strategic and team-based playstyle that Rainbow Six Siege is currently known for. Siege is not your average shooter.

Well thought out strategy and teamwork is what wins games, not running and gunning like in other FPSs.

Despite all of that, Rainbow Six Siege is currently a very fun and very unique experience. There really is nothing like it out there at the moment. What is the harm in trying it out for free?
