The Saints Row Series Is Making a Comeback
A new entry in the Saints Row series is currently being made by Volition, according to THQ Nordic CEO Lars Wingefors. Fans have been waiting for a new game in the series ever since the fourth game initially launched in 2013 for last-gen consoles. The game was eventually ported to PS4 and Xbox One in 2015.
“Volition is deep in development of a brand-new Saints Row game, the first full entry in this much loved series since Saints Row IV was released in 2013,” Wingefors said in a Wednesday statement.
In his statement, Wingefors didn’t confirm whether this upcoming game would be a sequel to the fourth game or serve as a reboot for the series. The fourth game was received pretty well but, since it’s been nearly six years since it launched, it’s possible that this new game could be a reboot.
