Some other details regarding the multiplayer were revealed today and you can read our full preview of Modern Warfare’s multiplayer HERE.
In addition to the multiplayer, Modern Warfare will include a single-player campaign, which we talked about HERE. And beyond the campaign, there is an all-new cooperative Special Ops mode, featuring a collection of strategic co-op missions accessible to all skill levels.
Modern Warfare offers a unified narrative experience and progression across campaign, multiplayer and Special Ops.
We aren’t sure what modes or maps will be available during the open beta but what we can tell you is Modern Warfare on release will include classics like Team Deathmatch, Domination and Headquarters, as well as new modes. Among others, new modes include Cyber Attack, a new spin on Search and Destroy, Ground War, the large-scale mode supporting more than 100 players and Gunfight, the quick-action, close quarters duo-based combat.
New gameplay mechanics including bullet penetration, gun mounting, door breaching and Multiplayer maps featuring night vision goggles (NVGs), allow for an unprecedented tactical experience for players.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One, and PC on October 25.
