Square Enix Will Release SDCC Marvel’s Avengers Footage… Later

Just After Endgame Comes Out

Earlier this week, Square Enix showed off some new footage of their Avengers game to attendees of San Diego Comic Con. Only those physically there would be able to see this. lol. Of course, the “exclusive” Marvel’s Avengers footage was leaked for everyone to see in a lame phone video recorded in portrait. It was just under a minute long, showing Thor toss some fools around. Honestly, it did not reveal anything major or unexpected. It is important to note however, that this video is definitely not all they had shown.

Marvel's Avengers Footage

A couple of days ago, the Marvel’s Avengers Twitter account announced that there are plans to release the full gameplay footage publicly. Unfortunately, it’s not like it’s coming out tomorrow or anything. We will still have to wait about a month. The tweet said that we will be able to see the whole thing the week after Gamescom, which runs from August 20th to the 24th. We can probably expect that it will come out on Monday, August 26th or in the following days.

As you can see, the tweet speaks about the “A-Day” demo. This is the opening of the game that was shown off at E3, where *spoiler* Captain America dies and the Avengers disband. This tells us that while it will be unseen footage, we probably will not see any new parts of the game. Marvel’s Avengers will come out on May 15th, 2020 on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Google Stadia.

Do you think the footage from SDCC will satisfy fans for a while? Let us know in the comments below.
