Square Enix Reveals New Racing Title Called Circuit Superstars
Square Enix threw us a bit of a curveball during their E3 conference by announcing a brand new racing title called Circuit Superstars. In collaboration with developer Original Fire Games it’s a brand new arcade-style micro racer that has joined the Square Enix Collective ranks.
The latest title that was just announced, Circuit Superstars, looks like an arcade micro racer but the developers have stated that they’re working towards having a more realistic tactile approach to the gaming physics. Here’s what Carolina Mastretta, from Original Fire Games, had to say about the title formerly known as Apex Racing League, “Over the last three decades we have seen a fascinating evolution of racing games. And these days, we can drive almost any type of car on amazing recreations of the best tracks in the world. However, we believe it’s time to try something different, and we want to do this by reviving a style that pioneered the racing genre decades ago.”
Along with a reveal trailer showcasing the little racer in action, Square Enix also dropped a vague release window set for sometime in 2020. Although the rest of the details about Circuit Superstars weren’t released here at E3, it’s likely we’ll get to see more from the game over the coming months. You can watch the trailer and discover the brand new title below.
When it does release Circuit Superstars is going to be available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC. So what do you think about this new announcement? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and don’t forget to keep it locked for all of the latest E3 news!
