Mutant Year Zero Adds New Story, New Locations, and a New Leading Character
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, the award-winning turn-based tactical adventure game, is getting a brand-new expansion called Seed of Evil, announced the developer and publisher today.
Releasing on July 30th, Seed of Evil adds more “hours of gameplay, new locations to visit, and a new leading character” to players’ squads. The story in the expansion will pick up where the original game ended. Check out the trailer above and the official description below.
“A new menace is looming in the expansion. Powerful and ominous roots have emerged and seem to be taking control over the minds of friends and foes alike. Fortunately, a new hero has arrived, and players can now add Big Khan the moose to their squad of mutants. He is not only skilled at landing critical hits but comes with the unique mutations Ground Pound and Flame Puke, giving the option to apply a more diverse playstyle in order to succeed.”
The expansion and the retail release on Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch was originally set for June 25th but has been delayed to July 30th. Details as to why it was pushed back were not given. A digital bundle that includes the original game and Seed of Evil is expected to appear on all platforms the same day.
PC players can pre-order the expansion on Steam for $14.99 later today. A Digital Deluxe Edition was also announced for PC, consisting of the base game and expansion.
