Dauntless Has Massive Opening Week

5 Million People Have Played Since Launch

The opening week for the online monster slaying game Dauntless has been beyond great. As stated in the title, the game has been able to draw in 5 million people. Dauntless launched last week on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It would appear that is has been well received by fans. This online phenom is free to play so it won’t cost you a dime to try it out either.

The most interesting feature that Dauntless offers is cross-platform play and progression. Now you and your friends that have different consoles can finally play together. On top of that, you will be able to access your account on all platforms as well. They have even added voice chat features for everyone too. Now gamers can argue and scream about their gaming platforms being better to one another in real time. Pheonix Labs is truly bringing everyone together.

Dauntless will also be released for the Nintendo Switch but there is no official date as of now. It has not been confirmed whether or not Nintendo players will be able to engage in cross-platform play. But if all the other platforms can, it should be a safe bet that they will figure out something to allow Nintendo players to connect with the Dauntless community. The developers are also working on releasing a mobile version for phones.

It will be interesting to see were Dauntless goes from here. Something like this definitely has the potential to be even bigger than it already is. Especially with the mass appeal of cross-platform play. The sky is the limit.

What do you think? What does the future of Dauntless look like to you? Be sure to let us know in the comments as well as on Twitter and Instagram.
