One of A Plague Tale: Innocence’s Villains Is a Masked ‘Monster’

A Plague Tale: Innocence Launches Next Tuesday

A new A Plague Tale: Innocence trailer that dropped on Monday focused on the game’s villainous Inquisition and two major antagonists: an armored masked soldier named Lord Nicholas and Inquisition leader Vitalis.

Going by the trailer posted above, both of these characters seem hellbent on capturing Hugo and his big sister Amicia, who is the game’s protagonist. It’ll be up to Amicia to protect her brother as they try to survive a journey through a 14th century France that’s been beset by a deadly plague.

The trailer didn’t reveal that much info about Vitalis but part of the trailer’s YouTube description gave this detailed character description for his ally, Lord Nicholas:

“Lord Nicholas, the commander of the Inquisition’s forces, is the helmeted face of fear for the local populace under the boot heel of his army, and for Amicia and Hugo as they flee. He is brutal and uncompromising, willing to do whatever it takes to complete his mission to capture and return the siblings to his master. Strong, fast, with zealots at his every beck and call, he will be a formidable and merciless foe.”

Other news: the studio behind A Plague Tale: Innocence is reportedly working on a new game.
