Even the Website Is Decked out in Rainbows
It seems like game developers are the one type of people we can trust on April 1st. That isn’t to say that they will always speak the truth, just that we can count on them for some silliness. Ubisoft kicked off the month with a Rabbid event in For Honor, that lasted for the day. They really went all out for Rainbow Six: Siege though with the two-week event Rainbow Is Magic. The pinkness is overwhelming. You can check out all the details on their website, but we’ll give you the rundown here.
The classic Siege map Plane has been given a make over. This map as well as four operators; Blackbeard, Montagne, Smoke, and Tachanka look like they were dipped in Pepto Bismol and coated with glitter and sparkles. The Plane has been turned into a toy-plane and its interior has been redone by an interior decorator for a daycare or playroom. The Hostage has been replaced either by a human-sized teddy bear or a furry, I still haven’t quite figured it out. Basically, everything has been made to look harmless when the exact opposite is still true.
There are also 17 items exclusively obtainable during this event. Ubisoft guarantees that there are no duplicates so all you need to do is play and pick them up. There is also a GIF contest being held until April 8th. All the rules and stipulations can be viewed on their rule page. This is just too much content to fit into one day, so the April Fool’s event will last all week. And be sure to check out their website. The mouse cursor is a unicorn.
