Ni no Kuni II – The Tale of a Timeless Tome Drops Next Week
As we had previously reported, Ni no Kuni II’s second major DLC episode, The Tale of a Timeless Tome, is dropping next week on March 19th. A new trailer highlighting some of the new DLC content can be seen below.
According to Bandai Namco’s press release, The Tale of a Timeless Tome will introduce new story elements, locations, characters, and new fighting Methods. Bandai teases that one of these new methods may be familiar to anyone that played the first Ni no Kuni game. That appears to be a bit of a theme with this DLC. We’re expecting to see lots of callbacks to the classic PS3 game.
As for story details, here’s a quick synopsis:
“The Tale of a Timeless Tome begins with Evan and his friends hearing about a rumour regarding a mysterious rabbit dressed in a tuxedo that is being seen in people’s dreams. Evan decides to investigate by staying at the Goldpaw Inn. When Evan falls asleep, he finds himself in a dream world and encounters the rabbit who tells them he is The Conductor. Who is this off character and what is his objective?”
The DLC will also add a new battle arena called The Solosseum Slog which pits players against super strong enemies. Winning will net players new items as a reward.
The Tale of a Timeless Tome DLC will cost $14.99 on PS4 and PC when it launches March 19th. If you’re a Season Pass owner, you can of course download it for free.
