It Would Make A Lot of Sense, Actually
The longer the Nintendo Switch exists, the more people realize the power of portable gaming. Certain games make perfect sense in this mode, yet are not available as such. God Eater 3 is one example of a game that should be portable, but isn’t.
To that end, the developers of God Eater 3 have heard a lot of talk from fans about this very subject. Series producer, Yusuke Tomizawa, stated that “after the announcement, we heard a lot of people saying that they wanted God Eater on portable systems.” Tomizawa capitulated, adding “I feel like it’s necessary for us to listen to what the users have to say, including those on the Nintendo Switch.”
God Eater 3’s producer also spoke about this, adding that “There are plenty of people who can’t use their TVs to play games when they’re at home, and we consistently have requests from those people come in. So, we’re cognizant of it to be sure.” As someone familiar with the series, I can state with some certainty that these games would work beautifully on a portable system. There’s something about the mission structure that feels perfectly suited to that pick-up-and-play mentality associated with systems like the Switch. For now, God Eater 3 is coming to PS4 and PC on February 8th, 2019.
