The Hook Blades are Back
Another day, another fatality; Mortal Kombat 11 will be flushed with many more bodies by April. Today, developer NetherRealm has introduced (or reintroduced) Kabal as a playable character.
Nope, this post isn’t solely dedicated to Kabal. Announced at Inside Xbox, D’vorah, the humanoid insect woman, will return to the roster (Thanks, IGN). Expect a gameplay showcase in due time. Another video brings new highlights for the second addition to the roster. Last week, Kano hit the roster with a new polish to his eye. This time, it’s Kabal, and he’s back from the dead to showcase the reach of his hook blades. Since he skipped a game with Mortal Kombat X, he has a lot to make up for. Some of his signature moves are back, but, like the rest of the roster, he comes with some twists… literally.
Below, you’ll find the gameplay video featuring Kabal.
Unlike its predecessor, Mortal Kombat 11 will feature a comprehensive customization system, though markedly different from what we saw in Injustice 2. Players will have the opportunity to choose character skins and customize a set list of accessories. Series creator Ed Boon also teased an all-new single player system with rewards in the form of cosmetics.
Mortal Kombat 11 arrives for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on April 23, 2019. We’re still at the beginning of character reveals, so expect many more roster additions and showcases in the coming weeks. We’ll be updating the list as they arrive.
