The Composer Just Wanted to Clarify His Current Job Status with The Elder Scrolls 6
The composer behind Skyrim’s iconic, bellowing, Norse-inspired soundtrack stated on Monday that he’s “currently not involved” with the next The Elder Scrolls game in the series, The Elder Scrolls 6.
“As so many of my fans have asked… While I’ve not said much about this out of courtesy to Bethesda, I would never turn my back on TES, and I believe that my involvement would hinge on a creative decision on their part and where they want to take the franchise,” the composer, Jeremy Soule, said. “To confirm, I am currently not involved with TES VI.”
Soule added that currently not being employed as the composer for The Elder Scrolls 6 doesn’t definitively meant that he won’t be composing music for the game in the future.
“As Bethesda have said, TES VI is still a long ways out. My non-involvement at this stage isn’t necessarily an indicator of anything foreboding,” Soule said. “But, whatever happens, it’s been a privilege for me to have made music for you with this series for all of these years!”
