A Look at the Post-Apocalyptic World of Days Gone
A whole section of 2019 felt absent when Sony declared their intent to forego PSX. As such, we missed a few days of marketing that would’ve been dedicated to PlayStation exclusives. With a new calendar year, the video game giant is back at it. Today, they’ve dropped some new info on Day’s Gone.
As much of the marketing has stressed, the world is full of Freakers and creatures that want to rip the player apart. This time around, SIE Bend wanted to talk more about the world. In the latest PlayStation blog post, the team dropped a new trailer with new info about the world and its features. The environment plays a big role in survival, the landscape of Oregon dotted with abandon locations. A story surrounds everything the players come across, stories related to a terrible pandemic.
Down for a little exposition? Catch more of the world of Days Gone through the elaborate trailer.
Alongside some insight into the game world, Sony finally revealed boxed copies of Days Gone alongside its pre-order bonuses. Anyone who pre-orders the standard, Digital Deluxe, or Collector’s Edition will unlock a Drifter’s Crossbow, a nitrous upgrade for the bike, a new gas tank, and Shroud. Plus, pre-orders through the PlayStation Store receive a Sawmill dynamic theme. Many more bonuses await in premium copies.
The Digital Deluxe Edition grants a digital art book, three additional bike skins, the game soundtrack, and a new theme. Naturally, the Collector’s Edition comes with more in the form of a steel book, patches, pins, decals, a physical soundtrack, and a 45-page mini-artbook by Dark Horse Comics.
