Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 Developer CI Games Announces New United Label
Despite a bit of an underwhelming reception to their latest title Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, Polish developer CI Games has the entire industry, especially those with a love for indies, a reason to celebrate. The developer has just unveiled a brand new publishing branch focused on indie games called United Label.
To prove just how committed they are to indie titles they’ve also shared some more exciting details about United Label. There are already four indie games set to release in the next couple of years: Röki, Eldest Souls, Tails of Iron, and Horae. Here’s the big reveal, straight from the CEO of CI Games, Marek Tyminski, “We are bringing our existing publishing capabilities to talented developers. We started this process with one of our own IPs, by giving the entire project of Lords of the Fallen 2 to Defiant in New York. We are now delighted to start United Label, announcing the first 4 highly-promising games: Röki from Polygon Treehouse, Eldest Souls from Fallen Flag Studios, Tails of Iron from Odd Bug Studios and Horae from Lunaris Iris. United Label will pursue its expansion by gathering creative talents, offering a structure to success and building long-term relationships with developers.”
Now if you’re looking to check out what each of the games are all about, you can check out a little description of each of the games below, along with their announcement trailers. And if you wanted to check out a little bit more about United Label, you can check out their video here.
Röki is a point and click adventure inspired by Scandinavian folklore with a “dark contemporary fairy tale underpinned by a deep narrative, memorable puzzles and daring exploration.”
Eldest Souls is a pixel art RPG adventure game from Fallen Flag Studios. “Set in a grim, dark fantasy world, Eldest Souls is innovating the genre by associating boss-rush gameplay, together with a high level of combat customization.”
Tails of Iron is a 2D Adventure RPG-lite game from Odd Bug Studios. It’s “set in a charming and brutal world. Playing as Redgi the Rat, you are heir to the throne when your kingdom is raided by the Iron Frog. Players face challenging, tactical and stunning combat encounters in order to rebuild the Rat Kingdom.”
Horae is a roguelike RPG that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. “The game offers up exploration-focused gameplay based on the memories of preceding discoveries, unveiled through quests and a multiple choices map and a turn-based combat system, reminding strategy and board games.”
According to CI Games both Röki and Eldest Souls launch later this year while Tails of Iron and Horae are set to release in 2020. What do you think about the United Label?
