Insurgency: Sandstorm Launches Later This Month for the PC
The free open beta for the tactical FPS Insurgency: Sandstorm began on Friday for PC users and the full game will launch on December 12th for that platform. It’ll come out on the PS4 and Xbox One in 2019, according to an official press release.
The open beta period lasts until this upcoming Monday at 9 AM PST/12 PM ET.
The open beta has every map, weapon and game mode (including co-op & PvP) that the full release will have. However, competitive matchmaking will only become available when the game launches next week.
Insurgency: Sandstorm takes place in the fictional country of “Definitely Not Afghanistan Or Iraq” and it has in-depth character & weapon customization. Along with realistic regular firearms, players can use vehicles with mounted guns, radio for airstrikes, and even use drones.
Also, the game can be purchased with a 10 percent discount if it’s pre-ordered and if you own the first Insurgency game then a 10 percent “loyalty discount” will be added to your purchase. This loyalty discount offer will be available until the end of March 2019.
