Splatoon 2’s Last Content Update Incoming Next Month
Nintendo’s Splatoon 2 will receive it’s last content update in just under a couple weeks time. Today, Splatoon News revealed what fans can hope to expect from update 4.3.0, which is set to include a ton of exciting new content including brand new weapons and abilities.
Splatoon 2’s final update is incoming on December 5th, and today a fan account on Twitter, aka Splatoon News, highlighted what’s coming down the pipe. Update 4.3.0 will be the very last to include new weapons, and this one is set to deliver 8 of them! Though we’re left in the dark about four of the weapons, you can check out the other 4, which are the Ballpoint Splating Nouveau, Nautilus 79, Custom Explosher, and Bloblobber Deco below.
In addition to these new weapons, there are two brand new abilities coming to Splatoon 2 as well. These are: Bomb Defense Up DX, which combines both Cold Blooded and Bomb Defense Up, and Main Power Up. Main Power Up will be affected by whichever weapon you’ve chosen. For example, when you have Main Power Up equipped the Splat Roller increases its damage and the Aerospray MG increases its ink coverage area.
And for anyone who’s worried about what this final content update means for the future of Splatoon 2, fear not, as there are still more Splatfests and ongoing post-release support planned until next year. This just means that there will be no new in-game content, and instead there will be updates just making some tweaks and balances to the game in the future.
